Gardening Barkingside is committed to providing a safe working environment for all employees, subcontractors and clients. This Health and Safety policy sets out how our garden maintenance and landscaping operations will be planned, managed and delivered to reduce risk and protect health across our service area. It applies to every activity carried out by our team, whether routine pruning, lawn care, hard landscaping or seasonal clearance work.

All staff engaged in gardening in Barkingside and surrounding neighbourhoods are required to follow safe working procedures, report hazards, and participate in risk assessments tailored to each job. The policy emphasises proactive hazard identification: before work begins, a competent person will evaluate the site, check access, utilities and potential environmental concerns, and document control measures. Training and supervision form a continuous part of our approach so that site teams can handle routine and non-routine tasks safely.
